According to the latest leaks from the famous tipster, Evan Blass has suggested that Lenovo is gearing up to unveil an Android One variant of the Moto X4 smartphone.

Well, the device is none-other than the new Moto X4 (Moto 2017); with the Android, One branding at the bottom rear can be seen. We didn't really think Android One would reach the country because the market is already saturated with budget Android smartphones that there is no need for the Android One. Xiaomi was first with an Android One version of its Mi A1, a variant Mi 5X. Meanwhile, 9To5Google has claimed the Moto X4 (with Android One logo) is indeed an U.S. model that's leaked just ahead of the upcoming launch. Interestingly, the new Android One phone will also be among the first to receive the OTA update to Android P, which makes it even better.

Google will be rolling out the stock version of Android to Moto X4 users in the United States for the first time.

Android One devices are known for offering reliable hardware specs alongside a pure Android experience for an affordable price. This means that it will feature a 5.2-inch full HD LTPS IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. At launch, the Chinese OEM confirmed that the Mi A1 will start selling in India this week (September 12) and sooner than later, it will be released in more than 40 markets across the globe.

For those wondering how the Moto X4 Android One edition might differ from the regular Moto X4, the Android One edition will probably have regular, guaranteed Android updates. The Moto X4 is powered by the 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 508 GPU and 3GB of RAM. These will include an 8MP camera (f/2.2, 120-degree field of view) and a 12MP camera (f/2.0), along with a 16MP camera on the front for taking selfies. The phone supports TurboPower quick charging, and comes with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The phone is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, it comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC as standard connectivity options. GSMArena speculates that it's highly likely the Moto X4 will have a different name under the Android One program.
